But to get to the Special gift on Monday part... I had talked to my mom a few days back about getting her and Ashley's old fish tank and stuff for Alexa. Well on Monday I took a fish tank home to put Alexa's fish in it into her room. On the way home to Minnesota I was thinking that in mommy and daddy's fish tank in our room we had a bottom feeder to help keep the fish tank clean, so I asked Alexa if she wanted one too or if she wanted a snail. She picked a snail.. so off to the pet store before we went home we went to get a snail. I didn't think Alexa would be this excited but she was bouncing in her seat all the way to the pet store. When we got there Alexa picked out a smaller white snail and said she was naming it Horton. It didn't take her long to figure out what she wanted, and she even picked out a unicorn to put in her fish tank and found some princess glass stickers for the outside. And then since we were taking Flynn Rider and Rapunzel out of mommy and daddy's fish tank to put in hers we decided to get two more fish to replace them. Two red fish that Alexa named Arthur and D.W. (Can you tell what cartoons she likes watching yet??), and we also got her a blue fish to put in her fish tank, but she never came up with a name for him so mommy named him Blue. Not only because he is the color blue but also because we just watched Rio. We got home with all the fish (and snail) and got right to work to get the fish tank all together. Alexa helped so much by deciding where she wanted everything to be in the fish tank and were she wanted the Princess glass stickers to go. She also kept a close eye on the thermometer to make sure the water didn't get too hot or too cold for her fish.

A Special Gift on Monday
On Monday, August 22nd, my sister had enrolled Alexa into a fashion show at Wal-Mart. They picked out the outfit for her and she had to walk down the isle and show off her style while they talked about the outfit and how much it was for her entire outfit bought at Wal-Mart. Well Alexa was excited to be in a fashion show and talked about it all the way to Wal-Mart and while getting dressed for it but then when they called her name to walk down, she got a bit stage fright in front of all those people. So with her puppy in one hand and mommy's hand in the other she walked down. She did such a great job that everyone gave her a round of applause!! She looked super cute - even though I'm not a huge Hello Kitty fan, but I guess it is the next 'thing'.

The first day after getting the fish tank in her room Alexa kept 'checking' on her fish to see how they were doing every hour or so and every time she did, she kept telling me of how sycited (excited) she was to have a fish tank in her room! She was told she had to feed her fish every night before going to bed and then she could keep the fish light on all night to use as a night light. She has been doing such an amazing job taking care of all of her fish!! She even woke up this morning and came into my room and told me again of how happy she is to have her own fish tank in her room. I think this is a huge success, and I don't think we are going to have any problems reminding her to feed the fish since she uses their tank as a night light. :D
