Fun in the Sun with family

Our trip to Wisconsin started on Thursday night (August 18th). We got to Grandma and Grandpa's house a little later in the evening but Alexa was so excited to see Grandma she was screaming 'Hi Grandma' before we even got to the driveway. On Thursday night Alexa and Grandma made a Chocolate cake with mini m&ms to use as sprinkles, and then we ate some with ice cream.

On Friday Alexa got her swimsuit on and played in Princess pool for a while and had so many giggles getting Princess to chase and catch the water, and getting Floyd wet to cool down. She then found Babie under the steps of the porch and went under there to cool off with her.

We later decided to take Alexa to the Merrill Pool so she would have more water to swim in. Well when we got there were a  bunch of business that were sponsoring a Hula event and you could play games, win prizes, and get free Hot dogs and Brats. Alexa played a game were you had to pick a duck (she picked a pink one) and throw it into a hula hoop in the water and if you made it in then you got a coupon for Ice Cream!! After the game she danced around in the water to the music playing. Before they started another game we got out to go and get a free Hot Dog and Brat and go play in the park. 

After the park we went to Family Video to rent Rio and Alexa wanted to rent Polly World (Polly Pocket movie) which she watched about 5 times a day so at least I know it is a good movie. :) After grabbing the movies we headed to go and get Alexa's free ice cream that she won! Turns out that it was really a Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Malt which was pretty good and turned out to be better in the long run due to eating it in Grandmas car and not having it melt all over the place. :D

When we got home Grandma and Alexa went out to the garden to pick carrots , cucumbers, and peas. Although Alexa didn't do much of picking peas, she was more eating them. That night we all watched Rio and then went outside to eat some smores with the whole family and my sisters boyfriend that came out. Alexa fell asleep about a quarter of the way through Rio and woke up when I set her down to go to bed so she came outside for a little while to eat chocolate and crackers instead of smores. :)

Saturday morning when we all got up we had a visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa David. We visited with them for a little while before Alexa got ready and met Grandpa outside to go horseback riding on Little Dusty. Grandpa taught her how to balance with no hands while riding and also taught her how to get on and off Lil Dusty with very little help. She did such an amazing job!!

After a little horseback riding and since my mom had the camera out I decided to get some pictures of Alexa and Floyd together since I hadn't had the chance yet. They turned out great and Alexa couldn't stop smiling for the camera, which is weird since I usually have to bribe her to smile for pictures.
