In September 2010 John had applied to the College of his dreams, Minnesota College of Art and Design. They really focus on your Art degree there instead of making you take those extra general classes that have nothing to do with your degree. Within 2 months John got a letter in the mail saying he got excepted to MCAD. Now he starts school August 2011. John is super excited to start college and be working with some of his professors.
On April 29th we packed up our entire apartment in Wisconsin into a U-Hal trailer and on April 30th we headed to North Saint Paul, MN to our new apartment. It rained the entire time unpacking the U-Hal but the second everything was inside our apartment it start to hail!! I'm so grateful for the hail to hold off that extra little bit.
We started to get to know our new neighborhood right away and found out we live fairly close to MANY parks, and most within walking distance. Also the Minnesota State Trail is right off the block next to us. And our backyard has a little wooded area even though we live right in the city. Our apartment has more space than our old apartment which we definitely love!
