Warm March days

  These March days lately have been very warm. In the 70s and even some days close to 80s! 
On Sunday we spent the afternoon together as a family.  We started off Hula Hooping in the front yard. This was Alexa's first time hula hooping and in our opinion she did a really good job trying to learn how to twist and tip her hips back and forth.  After she got tired from all that exercise we brought out the chalk! Alexa decided that she wanted me to draw Alexa and Mommy as fairies. Then she had me draw butterflies so she could color them in. It was such a nice day to be outside for the afternoon.  

  Well Wednesday this last week was my day off (at least it started that way) and day to spend with Alexa.  We started the day off at the Library with Cooking class. They made their own kinds of Yogurt parfait in a special bowl. Then it was story time and they learned about the Jungle. So many laughs and giggles that day and Alexa pretend almost all day we were traveling though a jungle seeing all the different kinds of animals. Then she got to run and play in the gym bouncing around on the balls with Caleb then it was off to the library. After I picked out some books, Alexa wanted to sit in the library reading cornering and read some books with mommy. We spent 3 1/2 hours at the library total!

  Then we did some massive grocery shopping which Alexa was the greatest helper ever! She got everything for me that was on my list and then crossed off everything off the list for me as we got them.

  Once we got home I set up the sprinklers to wet the yard, and Alexa decided it was a good day to go running in the sprinkler too! She ran through till she was soaking wet! Then she laid out on the side walk in the sun letting the water sprinkle over her. Every year she does the same thing, and every year we all laugh just as hard, and every year we get a picture of her laying in the sun.

Friday we went to the 'blue' park that is shaped like a ship and she got to play with a bunch of kids there. Floyd wanted in on the fun too but he had to watch from the side lines because there was too many kids playing.   All in all this has been a pretty great week being able to get outside and enjoy the weather. She even got to go for a bike ride once. She has been super excited about summer almost here!
