A day at the Pumpkin Patch..

Today we had a play date this morning with a good friend of mine and her son. We made Halloween cupcakes with the kids. They turned out really good! After the cupcakes were done the kids played for a small time until it was time for us to leave to go to the pumpkin patch. My friend told me of a nice pumpkin patch that was right off of MN-36.  They had Giant statues there and a haunted house (but you couldn't go in.. the sheep roamed around it), and hay rides (but they were closed today so we are going tomorrow), also corn mazes, and much more that I don't have money for this time around!!  :)
This was something you put two quarters in and the door
opens and closes while it talks and the trunk did the same.

So off we went to Countryside Sunny Farm. It was so nice there with the petting farm. Alexa got to feed the sheeps, goats, chickens, turkeys, and a cow. They had 25 cent machines all over the place that you could get a big handful of corn to feed the animals. We ran back and forth between the pens of animals for two hours feeding the animals. She had so much fun there and couldn't get enough of some of the goats there! They had a sheep there that was as tall as the cow!!!  Such a friendly one it was and Alexa said that it was very hungry. (I guess being that big you get hungrier more).

They also had a bunch of different pictures where you could stick your head through. I think Alexa had me take a picture of her in everyone and then after a few she wanted to take a picture of mommy with her head in it too. She didn't do too bad of a job with her picture taking! :)  There was also two tractors that you could sit on and pretend to drive and Alexa really liked the "Girl" tractor.

After playing and running around at the petting farm area, we decided that it was time to go and pick out what pumpkin Alexa wanted to take home. When we first walked into the building where all the pumpkins were Alexa seen an extremely big pumpkin, and once I seen that it cost $28!! it was a no answer right away. I couldn't believe how much one pumpkin could cost! So I explained to Alexa that when she found a pumpkin it had to be under a certain number. She wandered for a few minutes and then talked about the type of pumpkin that she wanted and she said that she wanted a tall big one. Within a minute or two of talking, Alexa found the 'ONE' and was super excited about it!!  She also found a little pumpkins that fit in your palm and picked out three of them. One for Mommy, one for Daddy, and one for Peanut! We plan to paint them later..   On the way home with the pumpkins Alexa was deciding what she was going to carve into each pumpkin. :)  So far she has decided that one will be Cinderella and one will be Aurora.

The perfect ONE!!
